The "General Guidelines for Teachers and Staff" were developed to help your district or school crisis team intervene with suicidal or self-injurous youth.
The tools in this section will provide guidance to teachers/staff when a student at risk for suicide is identified. The goal is to help educators recognize the signs of a struggling student and to know how to proceed once you have identified that a student is at risk.
A descriptive list of resources for suicide prevention, mental health, bullying, and media resources are shared with parents/family to support them with a critical role as gatekeepers in youth suicide prevention.
