The following introduction and materials are directed for our trained district suicide prevention task forces. These checklists, particularly the Conducting School Suicide Intervention in a Time of Distance Learning Intervention Checklist are meant to be a resource for and utilized by school employed mental health professionals in this time of distance learning and are not meant to be used by those whose scope of duties do not include conducting providing mental health support, or conducting suicide risk assessments, or who have not been trained in conducting such assessments. Additionally, they are not meant to replace a more comprehensive procedure or policy utilized by a school district when in-person attendance in classes is occurring.
