Many students who experience suicidal thoughts also have a mental health condition. Statistics show that 20% of students (1 in 5) have an untreated mental health issue requiring support. Of these students, many will not receive treatment, and those who do will likely receive the support from special education. This webpage provides resources about mental health conditions most commonly seen in children who present with suicidal thoughts.
